Important Update!!!
Joy needs all items sent to her before October 15th. Please email me for her address - she prefers not to have her address on the internet at this time. Even just a few items that may not seem like a lot to you can make a huge difference in the Ukraine - please consider donating ASAP!
You can help make a huge difference in the life of an unborn baby, an orphaned child and families in need. Below you will read about three ways YOU can make a huge impact for these people and spread the gospel - all with gently used donated items, handmade items or inexpensive items you can purchase and send!
The Master's Mission is a non-profit organization that helps missionaries and others deliver the gospel and donated items around the world.
I have been fortunate enough to know Joy Kinard and her mother. Both of these women collect donated items and pack, ship and distribute them in the Ukraine. They do this on a voluntary basis and are hopeful that by spreading the word, it will allow them to send even more items this year.
Some basic needs:
Warm clothing of ANY size is needed. Infants to large adult sizes. Shoes are in very big demand - you will see a photo below of one little boys shoes that are well worn and missing laces. Another was too blurry but it showed where the shoes had fallen apart on the child's feet, yet the pieces were tied together so the child had at least something on their feet. These shoes have been worn by several children over time, passed on to new little feet as they are outgrown by the previous owners. Notice there are no laces and the tongue of the shoes are falling forward? It is very cold in the Ukraine - shoes are a vital part of life there. PLEASE consider donating your child's shoes (or your's!) instead of tossing them in the trash. If they are in good shape and good for cold weather, we can use them!

Baby Bags are a huge blessing and an outreach that spares unborn babies from abortion. By donating your child's gently used baby items, which are then packed into 'Baby Bags', your items are handed out to new mothers who often have nothing for their new child - not even a blanket or diaper. Because the situation can be so dire for these mothers, many choose to abort their baby fearing they will have no way to clothe or diaper their infant. By supplying various sizes of clothing, cloth diapers, warm blankets and other necessities mothers are able to give birth knowing their infant's basic needs are met through the gift of the 'Baby Bags'.
Medical Needs are great. There are basically no supplies whatsoever. At one local hospital they have one syringe and one needle to use for any and all patients that need an injection. Two small bottles of medication are kept in a refrigerator. That is the extent of their medical supplies. The need is great for even basic supplies like bandages, antibiotic ointment, Advil, Tylenol, anti-diarrheal medication. What we take for granted at any local pharmacy the people of the Ukraine have no access to. What our hospitals and doctor's offices are stocked with most physicians in the Ukraine have never had access to.
The links to the left will share specific information and photos of areas you can help. Although The Master's Mission can help with shipping all these items over to the Ukraine, they rely on donations to supply the necessary items to send. There are many ways to help. To the left you will find links for Baby Bags, Orphan Clothing, Shoes, JOY Bags, Gospel Outreach, Urgent Medical Needs, Special Needs Children and more. There is so much to say and share! I will be adding on as frequently as I can - however, PLEASE understand all items need to arrive to Joy by late October.
There is concern that the Ukraine is beginning to shut down access for foreigners to visit orphanages and communities. Things are becoming desperate and the group is not sure after this year if they will be allowed in next year. PRAYER is desperately needed...the door needs to be kept open so the gospel can be spread and God's children cared for. Please put the Ukraine and the orphans on your prayer list!
